Proudly supported by the Australian Government who submitted $20 milllion for the protection and promotion of the Royal Exhibition Building, SLR Plumbing Solutions is very proud to have been contracted to complete the plumbing and civil works.

Commencing in 2019 and working alongside Museums Victoria, architect Lovell Chen and Builder HBS Group, SLR worked to conserve and renew the World Heritage listed building over a 2 year period.

Our contracted works included:

  • Services running up 4 floors through the original heritage structure to a new rooftop viewing deck.
  • All below ground drainage and civil works.
  • New DCW water tapping connecting to a DN100 service in the basement corridor.
  • Low gradient drain flushing device designed and installed by SLR.
  • Below Ground alarmed pumping station.
  • HWS with twin circulating pumps.
  • Installation of a rainwater water service which is also running through the basement corridor connecting to WC cisterns.
  • Services installed and ready for connection for future works.

SLR were absolutely fantastic when installing an electric hot water unit in our apartment. It was a very tricky installation, needing to be installed into a passage cupboard that was adjacent to a common wall shared with the powder room basin, so that they could connect the new hot water supply to the apartment hot water pipes ( the old heating unit was on the roof of the building and not at all accessible/not able to be replaced there ).
